Smile Mesmer 4 Life

Hello people, here is the build i usually use in PvE (only in PvE). I'd like your opinion. Its good when you go against mobs of enemies that have casters and melee attackers. Plus it gives me the feeling that i actually do some dmg, which is not often present when using mesmers.

Mesmer/(Secondary doesnt matter for this build, i use Necro)

Fast Casting - 6+1
Illusion Magic - 10+2
Domination Magic - 11+2
Inspiration Magic - 8+1

Clumsiness
Ineptitude {E}
Energy Burn
Backfire
Diversion
Energy Trap
Ether Feast
Rez Signet

Clumsiness and Ineptitude will severely injure any warrior. If you follow up with energy burn, it just takes a few hits from your team mates, and you'll be one enemy down. Backfire should be used on one caster. Diversion will help yuo greatly against monks, since all you have to do is cast it, and wait for the monk to use their next spell, and it will recharge an extra 50 sec or so. It can also be used against a warrior, if you can time it right to get their Healing Signet. This will greatly help you team mates. Keep in mind that clumciness and ineptitude also works on casters, as they will attack sometime during the battle.

any opinions?

Drop burn, take shatter hex or inspired hex; drop E-feast put an interrupt or Drain Chant or something. Oh, and 1 sup per char, you dont need the dom major.

Empathy would be nice to add as well.

Is that Energy Tap or Energy Trap? I've never heard of Energy Trap before.

I would drop Energy Burn and pickup Power Spike
Drop Energy Tap (assuming that is what it is) and get Shatter Enchantment

Otherwise its nice.

Empathy is good like SnipiousMax said, and Tap is actually a very nice PvE skill.

ether feast is always good...you'll never know when your monk is going to be low on energy or just can't reach you or lagging.

the best life saver

If you aren't sure about the healing ablity of your monk, then by all means keep ether feast on your skill bar.

However, if you have a descent monk you could easily drop it out for another skill.

Good luck and have fun!

I agree.. Ether Feast isn't a bad skill by any means but I RARELY ever take it. Even if Im in Cantha and Hench it (since you can hench basically that entire continent) I never take Ether Feast. But I find Mesmers, more so than any other class your skillbar has so many options. With a Warrior for example I know 5-6 skills that is a MUST HAVE. With Mesmer theres like 10. So it always gets left off the bar.

To the OP, the build looks pretty solid in my opinion except for the minor changes that was mentioned.

I'd run it pretty much as this:
Clumsiness
Ineptitude {E}
Empathy
Backfire
Diversion
Shatter Hex/shatter enchant (depending on where you are in the game)
Energy Tap/Drain Enchant(my personal favorite)/Inspiried Hex
Rez Signet

The only problem is energy mgmt. A lot of spells cost a lot of Energy to use. I'd maybe even cut something else and take two of Drain enchant/Inspiried Hex but thats just me!
